It's not always straight

The group feels that if a person does not venture in their life journey through winding roads, they may miss out on the learning experiences of people who do so.

Little Prince Chapter 3

It is important not to take things for granted. One should not just live in ones's own world. Both the author and the little prince were surprised by the worlds they came from. Dun be presumptous!

Reflections on Chapter 3

The writer's constant questionings in this chapter show that we cannot hope to have answers simply handed to us. Therefore, this chapter suggests that questions are more important than answers.
As teachers, we should encourage pupils to ask good questions so as to stimulate their thinking skills.
We should not always be feeding them with answers.

Little Prince Chapter 3

Showing empathy towards others' misfortune.
Be creative, think out of the box.
Perception differs for all people.
What seems normal to one may not apply to others. Therefore, elimination of different beliefs/perceptions will create better understanding!!!

The Little Prince Chapter 2

Comments:

1) We see things in different perspectives. Everyone is different. Children see things in a different light compared to an adult.

2) When pupils' effort are recognised, they will feel motivated.

3) Give the pupils a chance.

little price Chapter 2

He feels inhibited, discouraged from an earier experience in his childhood-He can draw but he says he can't afraid of failure, dare not try, Little Prince has brought back his childlike. The little Prince has awaken the sight of the adults (He has shown empathy). Communication is possible only with the same kind of frequency in thinking between the two parties.

Reflection on Little Prince Chapter 2

Miss Wong Jia Lei:
There's a need to refine one's teaching in order to reach the best standard. Just like how the author had to draw the sheep several times to meet the little prince's expectation.

Miss Mabelene Mak:
We have to think ahead, set long term goal and not just focus on the difficulties that our pupils are facing today.

Miss Ooi Guat Lan:
We should not be too judgmental and have to create a conducive environment for our pupils.

Mdm Tan Gek Hiang:
We have to give ourselves a chance to try out new things. We need to be wary of this self-fulfilling prophecy. You will never know the outcome until you try. Don’t make assumption.

Mrs Grace Tan:
Encouragement is needed for both adult and children. Encouragement can be carried out through a simple gesture. We should always give children the assurance that they can do it. For teaching to take place, both teachers and students need encouragement. Learning can take place if mistakes are allowed.

Miss Diana Chan:
We need to recognize that children, being children, make many mistakes. The process of learning is much more important compared to the outcome.

Reflections on Chapter 2

Besides harnessing the power of imagination and creative thinking, we learn that the narrator's loneliness at the beginning of Chapter 2 shows how important relationships with others are. This isolation moment allows him to indulge in the most fulfilling relationship of his life.He is able to embrace the prince and the lessons his new friend has to offer.Hence,we should all learn to open our mind to all possibilities life has to offer. We are what we believe.

Much Love

Reflections of Chapter 2

We must live to the imagination. It is a great gift to imagine as it adds live and color to our life. At school level, we should communicate to the pupils' level to prevent misinterpretation. This actually applies to everybody we deal with. We should live harmoniously in order to live happily ever after.
